About the Artist
About Me
Welcome to Alice Melo Fine Art! I’m Alice Melo, a self-taught painter with a deep love for nature and the beauty I find in everyday life. Over the past two decades, I’ve worked in acrylics, watercolour, gouache, and more, creating landscapes, florals, and animal portraits that I hope reach beyond the canvas and touch the hearts of those who see them.
For me, art is more than just visual expression it’s a way to slow down, look closer, and feel connected to the world around us. I believe creativity should inspire calm, curiosity, and a greater appreciation for the quiet, powerful beauty in nature and in life.
In addition to creating my own work, I’m passionate about sharing the joy of art through teaching. I founded Alice Melo Fine Art Studio in Amherstview, Ontario, where adult students and teens of all skill levels can explore their creativity. Whether you’re picking up a brush for the first time or refining your technique, my classes and workshops are designed to nurture confidence, build skills, and celebrate your unique artistic voice.
My goal, both in my own art and as a teacher, is to create experiences that inspire, encourage growth, and foster a sense of community. Whether you’re here to explore my artwork or start your own creative journey, I invite you to create, connect, and be inspired.
